As a member of the Austria Leadership Team you will lead and shape C SL Behring Austria’s medical and scientific strategy and activities. You will provide leadership for three colleagues from Regulatory affairs, Quality and Medical Affairs and medical expertise to ensure targeted development of new products and optimal scientific positioning and promotion of existing products. As Head of Medical Affairs you are responsible for developing long-term health-care professional relationships. In this role you will seek advice and support education, work with scientific exchange, and research with respect to disease state and company’s products. You will also contribute to the generation of real-world evidence such as company sponsored observational non-interventional studies and investigator-initiated studies. The Head of Medical Affairs owns the publication strategy and provides medical input into publication activities. You will identify unmet medical needs and reinforce the patient focus of all medical activities. In this role you will collaborate closely with Market Access, Marketing, Regulatory and other relevant functions. In collaboration with General Manager and Head of Marketing develops and implements the medical Strategy and ensures delivery of medical components of brand strategies. Be the medical resource for the development of scientific and medical elements of CSL Behring’s Austrian Commercial Operations business strategies. Acting as the main CSL medical contact for both internal and external partners in all interactions and communications requiring medical knowledge and medical expertise on CSL products and relevant therapeutic areas. Actively contributing to the medical support of the scientific, educational and promotional activities organized by CSL Behring in Austria in adherence with CSL values and Code of Responsible Business Practice, relevant local and international codes and regulations. Ensuring internal training and continuous medical support for the sales and marketing organization and for the medical clearance of promotional and educational materials, as per local, national and CSL global procedures and guidelines. Creation and maintenance of regional medical inquiries database. Maintaining documentation associated with Investigator Initiated trials and acting as medical contact in relation with CROs and other parties involved in the clinical studies. Assume the role and responsibilities as “Informationsbeauftragter” referring to local Law: AMG § 74a for CSL Behring with regard to promotional and scientific material. Act as Deputy Local Safety Officer (DLSO). Required: University degree in Medicine (MD), with or without clinical experience. Minimum of 4 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required. Preferred: Prior experience in providing Medical support to products or devices in specific therapeutic areas, including KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications and educational programs highly preferred. Clinical experience highly desirable. Experience in working in international or global teams. Previous MSL and/or Medical Affairs background. ICH/GCP knowledge favorable, ability to write scientific papers.
